What is $TBT?
$TBT is a digital currency, a fractionalized part of RLY, a widely traded Ethereum token. It was minted in 2021 by NO IDEA to support complicated ideas.
Why is it called $TBT ?
$TBT or Timbvctoo Bucks was named after our first project Timbvctoo Magazine, an in-print publication created by Eric Wesley and Erica Redling and partially underwritten by $TBT.

As legitimate people, why did you mint a digital currency?
We agree NFT/Crypto markets are problematic. But the concepts behind web3 technologies are compelling, and created by people who are experimenting with how the internet is structured. By minting a token we're similarly experimenting in new ways of structuring the flow of ideas, culture and capital.
Why is opening an account so complicated?
Because opening new accounts is always annoying, but the whole thing will take less than 6 minutes.

When you click "Sign In" you'll be redirected to create a Rally account. RLY operates it's own internal user-friendly exchange. This account will act as your wallet (which means they might ask you to secure your account with 2-step authentication). There is no fee to set up an account, try and ignore the graphics.

I've already subscribed to Timbvctoo Magazine, why do I need $TBT?
Timbvctoo's archive and calendar are built in web3, which means that you'll need to be holding the correct digital assets in order to access the site.
